Physician - Internal Medicine Job in Mason City, IA

• Daily lectures include M, multidisciplinary conferences, board review, and journal club.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in Internal Medicine is strongly preferred with previous faculty experience preferred.
• Hands-on procedural training is provided in rotations through a variety of inpatient services and subspecialties including cardiology, critical care, infectious disease, neurology and more with elective opportunities available in second and third years.
• Inpatient training is provided by hospitalists, cardiologists, critical care physicians and other specialists.
• The selected candidate must be able to obtain MMC-NI medical staff privileges.

• An affiliation with Mercy Medical Center - Des Moines offers the flexibility of scheduling and some subspecialty rotations away from MMC-NI during the second and third years of training.
• Noon lectures and grand rounds are coordinated with other training programs.

• Candidates for this opportunity must possess an MD or DO medical degree and be Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
• The didactic curriculum incorporates case-based learning, evidence-based medicine, and basic medical science.
• Mercy Medical Center - North Iowa (MMC-NI) has an excellent full time opportunity for a Board Certified Internal Medicine physician to join the newly formed Internal Medicine Residency program located in Mason City, Iowa.
• The Internal Medicine Residency Program is a three-year AOA-accredited program with three residents in each postgraduate level.
