Physician - Psychiatry Job in Charleston, SC

• This is an employed opportunity through HCA Physician Services Group.
• Inpatient, staff psychiatrist is needed to join team for a state of the art, Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit at Trident Medical Center in Charleston, SC.
• HCA BHS operates behavioral services at 55 locations, with a total bed count of over 2,500.
• ECT available.
• Align behavioral health services with other services and systems within HCA to leverage synergies and improve patient outcomes.
• Strategically partner with hospital affiliates to improve the management of behavioral health services.
• Ability to pick up extra shifts at sister facility.
• Identify meaningful growth opportunities and institute a platform for increased effectiveness and collaboration through existing HCA behavioral health services.
• BHS serves all age populations: 57% adult, 21% geriatric, 13% child and adolescent, and 9% dedicated to specialty services such as substance abuse and eating disorders.
• 7 on / 7 off schedule - 3 physicians inhouse daily as well as an NP.
• Unit staffed with Medical Director, 2 Psychiatric Hospitalists and 1 APP.

• 12-bed psych specific section of the Emergency Department.
• 17-bed inpatient unit and a smaller 8-bed open unit.
