Hematologist/Oncologist Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Facility in Putnam, Connecticut

A large hospital is seeking a hematologist/oncologist for locum tenens coverage.The facility is located in Putnam, CT.This outpatient practice with inpatient consults and follow-ups is seeking additional support due to an increase in patient volume. The role involves managing 15-20 patients per day, including follow-ups, new oncology patients, and new hematology patients. The position requires a 2-3 day per week commitment, with light on-call duties every third week. The practice is supported by two MDs, RNs, and one APP, along with a robust support team including a Nurse Manager, certified pharmacists, a tumor board program, and an infusion clinic. The role requires 60 days for credentialing, with board certification preferred but not required. An active Connecticut license is preferred, though candidates needing a license will be considered.
