Anesthesiologist Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Hospital in Bronx, NY

A busy hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage.Bronx, New York is the birthplace of hip-hop culture. Its also home to some major attractions including the Bronx Museum of the Arts, the oldest public golf course in the country (Van Cortlandt), Edgar Allan Poe Cottage, Americas first zoo and NYCs sprawling botanical gardens.The position offers full-time coverage with an average schedule of 8 to 10 hours, although shifts may extend to 12 to 15 hours on longer days, depending on operating room flow. In-house call is required once every six nights, involving a 24-hour shift for trauma and general cases, with backup support for obstetrics; CRNAs handle epidurals while MDs perform cesarean sections. Additionally, there is one backup pager call per week, which is infrequent.
