Emergency Medicine Physician Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Facility in Alexandria, Louisiana

A facility is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage.Alexandria, Louisiana is known for its abundant natural beauty and rich history and culture. Visit art centers, outstanding museums, zoos, and many festivals!The position handles an annual volume of 49,500 patients or 135 per day, requiring BC/BE in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine with an active Louisiana license. Family Medicine-trained physicians need ATLS certification, while EM-trained physicians do not. ACLS and PALS certifications are required for all. The ED has 42 beds and a 22% admission rate, with 10 hours of scribe coverage daily. The department currently uses Meditech but will transition to EPIC in March 2025. Travel, lodging, and malpractice coverage are provided.
