Neurosurgeon Needed in Missouri for Ongoing Assignment

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Facility Type: Hospital and Surgical Center
• Total Number of beds: 400 +
• Trauma Level 1

• Specialty: Neurosurgery

• Start Date: February 3rd, 2025

• Length of Assignment: 10 Months
• Call Requirements: Every 3rd – 4th night (Weeknights/Weekends)
• Charting/Dictation:
  • Office/Clinic/Hospital: Cerner
• Required Skills & Procedures: 100% Adult Required with a focus on Spine. Physician will be required to Supervise other healthcare providers: Collaborative practice agreement with APPs if covering Inpatient. Physician will also be involved in covering/supervising, teaching services for Residents/Fellows

Area/Procedures below are all Required for this role:
General Neurosurgery Requirements:

• 100% Adult
• Trauma

Spinal Surgery with Instrumentation:

• Cervical
• Thoracic
• Lumbar

Spinal Surgery without Instrumentation:

• Cervical
• Thoracic
• Lumbar

Preferred Procedures:

• Peripheral Nerve Surgery
• Pain Procedures
• Stimulators
• Application of Ext. Traction

Average # of patients per physician per day: 20.
Number of physicians in practice: 8
Average # of surgeries per physician per fay: 3
Other Neurosurgeons will be present during assignment.
Lab is onsite and X-ray is onsite.
Ancillary staff: Physician Assistants
